"I usually compose portrait-based photographs to depict partial stories, aimed to challenge the viewer through tension created both formally and topically. My images, often cinematic in style, are about the exploration of desire and emotions in [mostly] men, and in the end, a human connection." --Jan Rattia
Most recently, Rattia was awarded the 2017 Carol Crow Memorial Fellowship by the Houston Center for Photography. An accompanying exhibit will be on view at HCP in May 2017.
