Jason Engelund is a San Francisco Bay Area based artist whose work has been prominently featured throughout California and exhibited nationally. Engelund received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction in painting and experimental film/video at the California College of the Arts and Crafts and received his Masters for Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis. Engelund has been described as being “distinctly aware of the conceptual and metaphorical capacities of landscape” (art writer A. Will Brown). In 2012 Engelund was awarded a Sustainable Arts Foundation Individual Artist grant for his work in photography. In 2016 he was nominated and selected as one of eleven photographic artists for the triennial exhibition and prominently featured in “Boundless: A California Invitational”. His artwork is in many private collections and the permanent collection of the Museum of Photographic Arts.
