Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, I began studying photography at the age of 20 while studying Fine Arts at the University.
My photographic work is mostly documentary. It's very linked and conditioned to/by my life experience. Although some series are long-term projects, every geographic shift or every significant change in my trajectory marks the beginning of a new photographic stage; a new way to explore and understand myself, my environment and the photographic medium.
After living in Havana, Madrid, Barcelona, Houston and Los Angeles, I settled in New York City, where I work as the manager of the Lomography Photo Lab and continue creating and developing my own photography projects.
