Jennifer Kesteleyn was born (20th July 1984) and raised in Ghent, Belgium. One could say that Jennifer Kesteleyn was photographically born on the 31h December 2015 whilst making her first auto portrait in an abandoned greenhouse which resulted in a series called 'Abandoned feelings'.
At that time, she was working on her PhD on International Relations and Diplomacy but her interests diverted more and more into the field of photography.
Series such as 'Marianismo' and 'A celebration of Joan Owens' quickly followed. The first series gained interest from pages/instagram accounts such as The Independent Photographer, Red Cabin, Feature Shoot, Shoot-off, IRimages, De Morgen (one of the biggest Belgian newspapers),...
For now she's taking her first steps in professional photography and is enrolled at KASK (Ghent) to obtain a masters degree in Photography.
