Jerry A Barnes, a retired veteran of the United States Navy, is a Georgia-based photographer and graduate from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Photographic Imaging. He is a freelance photographer specializing in a wide range of photographic genres including portraits, weddings, products, commercial and special events. Some of Jerry’s images were displayed at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center 6x6 exhibits in 2010. He also received Best in Show for Photographic Portfolio at AIA.
His ability to relate the technical aspect of photography comes from a long history of teaching. As early as 1995 Jerry has been teaching other. The pentacle of his teaching career was during his military service when he was given orders to instruct at the Naval School of Health Sciences (NSHS) as a Radiology Instructor in 2005- 2009 In that period he taught well over 1000 student with a 96% graduation rate, making him well suited for teaching. This time polished his teaching skills granting him the designator of Master Training Specialist and numerous other accolades. His subjects of choice were Radiation Physics, Basic Computing, Radiographic Techniques and Radiation Biology. Now merging his love for teaching and his passion for photography Jerry has embarked on a path of combining his two loves, by educating those who have a similar passion for photography.
