I am a Danish documentary photographer. Graduate from Fatamorgana The Danish School of Art and Documentary Photography. I also hold a BA in International Development Studies and Philosophy.
I believe, by telling personal documentary stories depicted in a different way that we are exposed to in the mass media can change the way, how one another think of each other. In this regard, I think every day stories can represent the normal in the abnormal by referring to universal human sentiments that viewers can relate to and thus identify with. Depicting such stories, the identification can hopefully create a higher level of engagement in the general public, which could fuel more awareness and in the end more action towards what we are to believe.
I see the camera as an unique tool to enter realities and meet human beings, that I would never have access to otherwise. For me as a documentary photographer and occasionally filmmaker that is the greatest inspiration and motivation do to photography and storytelling. In essence, to be able to tell these stories to a wider public trough my camera.
