I'm a hobbiest in the photography world and routinely use my Nikon D3300 with a 50mm Prime Nikkor lens. As a mom, my hobbies tend to stay on the back burner. Thankfully, photography has stuck with me through the years.
Post production is minimal in my work. I do use Lightroom for some cropping and minor contrast changes, but tend to stick to the rule "what you see is what I got".
