Jesus Salvador Tauste
Profession: Photographer of the world
I'm a photographer from Barcelona and currently live in . Netherlands After twenty years as an amateur, photography has become in the last ten years, my occupation, my calling and my profession.
As a photographer, I am self taught. My teacher has been time. I've learned by taking photographs every day, three hundred and sixty- five days a year. The fact that in the last ten years of my life I have lived in six different countries and travelled to five continents , from Japan to Turkey, from China to Tanzania, from Minneapolis to Kuala Lumpur ... has allowed me to observe nature in its purest state ( U.S. parks, the African bush , the Danube Delta , the Yucatan coast ) and the most populated cities in the world ( Mexico City, New York , Hong Kong , Tokyo, London , Cairo) and gives an entirely personal perspective to my photographs, sometimes critical and ironic in others.
I believe that a good street photo requires precision and timing. My work focuses on everyday life. I have taken my best photographs while traveling or living in different parts of the world, so that, on returning to my hometown, I see situations that I had never noticed before. I think, for good personal and street results, you must be constantly alert and changing perspective.
I am open to different subject categories: nature, macro, street and experiment with my own techniques. However, I am drawn mainly to street photography and have dedicated most of my time and work to this genre. By applying different techniques, I am able to produce images with a distinctive personality.
