Jim Casper is editor-in-chief and publisher of LensCulture, the global photography network and online magazine celebrating current trends of contemporary photography in art, media, politics, commerce and popular cultures worldwide.
The mission of LensCulture is ambitious but quite simple: To discover the best contemporary photography everywhere on the planet, and then share those discoveries with the largest audience possible. We currently reach a monthly audience of more than 1.5 million worldwide.
In addition to its award-winning online platform, LensCulture grants dozens of international photography awards each year, and hosts large-scale photography events and exhibitions throughout the world which have boosted the careers of hundreds of photographers. In 2015, LensCulture is launching an innovative online education program called LensCulture Sessions that connects photographers and photography experts in live, real-time video workshops — no matter where the participants are located in the world.
Jim Casper curates arts exhibitions, writes about photography for magazines and books, lectures, conducts workshops, serves as an international juror and portfolio reviewer, and is an advisor to arts and education organizations. He serves as a director of SPE, the Society for Photographic Education.
