JIM YOUNG has exhibited widely throughout the United States and abroad, and his work is held in many private and institutional collections.
In 1991, the Fuad Abed Halabi Foundation of Puebla, Mexico, published a bilingual book, Ajijic; Impressions of the Heart, commemorating Jim’s work with indigents in Ajijic, New Mexico. A published poet, Jim has also completed 20 spiritual books (www.creationspirit.net). He has studied with National Geographic photographers Matt Bradley, Dewitt Jones, and Richard Cooke III, as well as with documentary photographer Mary Ellen Mark and fine art photographer Siegfried Halus.
Jim Young’s continuing project, Women of the Village, is an evolving body of work documenting lives of elderly women in places like Greece, New Mexico, and Mexico.
