Joanne Barham was born in Southern Virginia and has been living in New York since 1996. Her work spans multiple subjects inspired by her fascination with the progress of time and space, solitude found in global metropolises, reflections and transmissions between the minutia interior being reflecting alongside the expansive universe.
Living in New York has accommodated all these interests and has added exploration of such, plus more.
Finding seclusion amidst the masses and capturing these moments as her daily photographic journal is the storyline that one can never predict. 'Witnessing human emotions and the parallel between space and time conjoined is as if walking through a daily fantasy dreamscape', she says.
