Jochen Gewecke, born in 1962, lives as art photographer, freelance graphic designer and author in Moessingen, near Stuttgart/Germany.
“Mosque Meets Church” was shown in the City Church Konkordien in Mannheim/Germany, then in Stuttgart, Tübingen, Karlsruhe, Balingen (all in Germany) and Calgary/Canada.
„Come Together! Mosque, Church and Synagogue“ was shown in the City Church Konkordien, the Yavuz Sultan Selim-Mosque and the Synagogue in Mannheim in the same time, then in Erdmannhausen, Kirchheim, Salzburg/Austria and Saalfelden/Austria, Schwäbisch Hall, Meßkirch, and Münsingen.
For this exhibition Jochen Gewecke had been awarded with the European Citizen’s Prize by the European Patliament.
