Joe Lipka’s artistic career began in college when he failed metal sculpture. Seeking an artistic outlet, he thought photography would be a suitable substitute. It had chemistry, optics, machinery, handicraft, and (most importantly) two dimensions. For almost fifty years he pursued photography as an art. Using many photographic processes he communicated his feelings, observations and stories of the world in diverse media.
His photography evolved from the single image, to multiple image folios, from photographic artifacts to the virtual world of the internet. He currently focuses on the monthly publication of an online magazine and two blogs.
