For the last 25 years, I have taken photographs with a traditional approach to film, luminous inscription on a delicate surface, and the subject.
Portraits were always essential to me. Some of the first faces I took photographs of close-up stayed with me as a reference for my questioning as an artist. Photography has thus become the preferential tool for my personal quest, enabling my encounters.
I also work in a specific way to create a new area of freedom. Men and women leave their footprint and take the risk of revealing their inner self, and surrender the mark of desire to my eye, within the boundaries of a permanent, never-changing place.
Simultaneously, mises-en-scène of bodies lying down still open up a field of subjective perceptions, become objects of fantasy, a projection of self.
