Joa Aziz’s work draws our attention to all that is unique in our world with a visual call to nurture and protect that which nourishes us. What she makes visible and cherishes, the emotions she evokes and emphasises, linger long within the imagination and inspire warmth and generosity to self, others and the world.
Her work grew from a craving for peace in the chaos of her formative years in Colombia. A calm she found in strangers and buildings; capturing what makes us essentially human, sensually attuned to the spaces and places we inhabit daily and elevating the most banal act to an art form.
