About Jonathan Carvajal

I am a graduate in fine arts, a photographer and a musician.

When I started studying photography at the Debora Arango university in Medellin,
Colombia in 2005, I went in with an open mind an ready to explore photography as a
medium, without preconceptions or set ideas about photography.

After graduating in 2010, I continued my exploration by participating in courses and
workshops that focused on photojournalism and documentary photography. This in turn
working as a freelance photographer for three years, I am very interested in this relationship between photography and memory. Memories are
stored on coded locations, obscure locations that mutate with the passing of time.
Photography on the other hand is forever fixed. But your perception of the photo changes
over time as it interacts with different mutations of your original memory.
