About José Renato Silva

I started photographing in 2014. The option for B&W in my images is because, for me, they translate the density and drama needed to provoke reflection, some discomfort, or impact. It mirrors an aesthetic that seeks to create an atmosphere more dense, enigmatic, surreal, and dreamy - emblematic.
My creative act presupposes a kinesthetic state of permeability to perceive what is happening. This is the locus nascendis of my images. What exists beyond the visible passes through the framing.
