I'm 21 years old and I'm currently studying biology in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá. I became interested in photography about 3 years ago when I lived in Medellín but I got frustrated because I couldn't seem to have control over the result of my photos. However, it was 8 months ago when I was taking a photography course with an excellent teacher that I became really involved in it. I took photos only during my trips but I recently started a long term project encompassing the visualization of farmer and indigenous communities. What made me want to explore this subject is that it seems there are 2 different Colombias, the one in the cities and the one outside the cities. The second one I find far more interesting.
