I have been passionate about photography since I was about 8 years old when my Uncle Jim, a lifelong photographer, put a Brownie box in my hands and told me to take pictures of what I thought would make a good photograph, and never to think twice about what other people might say about what I made images of. My mantra is a quote from Gary Winogrand, "I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed."
