She was born on July 3, 1976 in Passa Quatro, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Graduated in Psychology from UFSJ - Federal University of São João Del Rei, she was always fascinated by photography and her work began in 2009 when she lived in Decatur, IL, USA.
In the words of Ansel Adams, a photographer does not make a photograph with just his camera, but with the books he has read, the films he has seen, the trips he has made, the songs he has heard, and the people he loved.
This line of thought translates Karina Belle's authorial work well; a mix between his photographic compositions, post-production in photography, her favorite musics and poetries.
Asked once about where she took the inspiration for her photos, she replied: "of the sounds!"
