Ojuolape Agbaje is a self-taught documentary photographer living in Lagos State. Her work has been featured in restaurants, cafes and boutique hotels both nationally and internationally.
Ojuolape Agbaje's love for photography bore out of her desire to displace the often binary portrayal of Nigeria in the media. Through her pictures, she aims to demonstrate that Nigeria is more than just extremes, our culture is strong, and our people even stronger. It was that love for Nigeria that pushed her to start taking pictures and document its beauty and culture. Whether it is historical buildings, the landscape or the people, in the midst of freezing time with the aid of a lens, her slogan as an artist is that the ordinary is extraordinary. She is currently working on a celebration series documenting the rich party culture amongst the Yoruba Tribe from which she originates.
