Ko Yamada, born and raised in Japan, is a photography/media artist working in Japan.
After he finished with his master degree in photography at Ohio University, he started his career in the U.S. He was selected for the National Graduate Seminar for Photography in 1993. He was recognized at the FotoFest 1994 in Houston, Texas and at the 2nd International Photo Meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before he had shows at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. After he worked for International Symposium on Electronic Arts (ISEA) 2002 as the vise secretary general, he expand his field as photography based multi-media expressions. He combined photography with sound installations, book projects, newspaper project, and performances.
