About Kourosh Soufi
In going through customized commercial works and beyond, in his personal works, his critical view and human-centered philosophical dimension which has often mysterious and unrealistic expression is a symbol of his work signature and a true personality hidden in his works.
He was born in Iran in 1990. A year before starting university, he worked as an assistant in a dubbing and photography studio. In the first year of university, he was among the top five photographers in the Great City Visual Festival which was among the greatest visual festivals of that time.
Before performing Dentellière project, in his work Soufi collaborated freely with native artists of the country and well-known brands alongside documentary photography projects.
In January 2013, Kourosh was sentenced to 85 lashes spending one-year non-suspended imprisonment in Rajai Shahr Prison due to performing Dentellière advertisement project.
