Krasimira is currently studying MA Photography at the University of Portsmouth, she graduated from BA (Hons) Photography this July with First Class Honours. Her work investigates the notions of personal and social memory in relation to representations of cultural politics and identity. During 2016 Krasimira had two group exhibitions - one in the University of Portsmouth and Hoxton Arches, London. In 2016 she also won the APHE Photo Meet 2016 Bursary, Student Achievement Award 2016, and Visual Culture Award 2016. She was nominated for the Aspex Platform Graduate Award 2016, shortlisted for Brighton Photo Fringe 2016, winner of the Uncertain States emergence exhibition part of Photomonth London 2016 as well as doing residency at the King’s Theatre in Portsmouth. Krasimira also exhibited her work at Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth and Pingyao International Photography Festival 2016, China this autumn.
