Multimedia journalist Kristin Trüb is interested in personal stories relating to the topics of identification, socialization and migration. She works cross-media with photography, film, sounds or found footage. Her first book “Letzte Generation Ost” was published by Éditions Bessard.
After school Kristin did an apprenticeship as a media designer at Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne. In 2010 she began her studies in photography at the University for Applied Sciences & Arts in Dortmund. Since then she also works as freelance photographer and video journalist. She finished her studies with the Master degree in Spring 2018.
Her book “Letzte Generation Ost” was nominated for the International Dummy Award (2015) and named by the Goethe Institut as one of the best german photobook projects from young German artists (2014/2015). It was exhibit in Germany, Portugal and the USA. In Marfa/USA Kristin Trüb won the Marfa Open :-: 2016 Prize for Photography.
