My name is Ksenia Kuleshova and I'm doing a Master's in Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund in Germany. I've completed my Bachelor's Degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover in Germany.
My first degree is in PR, and after winning Russian PR competition, I worked on the agency side for several years. However, I later decided to move to Germany and pursue photography. In 2012, I was awarded a scholarship by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, a German political foundation. It's a great honor for me.
Living apart from my family and friends and at times struggling with other people's perception of Russians, has made my way a bit complicated. At the same time, that’s what also makes it much more interesting. I'm always open to new experiences. Leaving in Germany over the past five years, I've gotten a chance to experience a lot and meet many outstanding and talented people. I'm a determined hardworking person who can also be shy and critical of myself. I'm emotional and it’s very easy to touch my heart. I believe I'm on the right path.
I'm always inspired by the strength of people's characters and a passion for life, love, aesthetics of beauty, art, and traveling. I strongly believe that we have to try all avenues first and if that doesn't work, then we'll know that we've done all we could.
