Kukka-Maria Rosenlund (b. 1987 Tampere, Finland) is a Helsinki based fine-art photographer. Rosenlund explores the relationship of the self-portrait to the inherited and layered memory. She combines archives and various photographic elements in her artistic work. In the pieces, temporal layers turn into visual surfaces often relate to the people in the artist's inner circle and their influence on the present moment. Her series was selected as one part of the exhibition at the festival of photography Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in May 2017. The festival presented photographic art with a wide range by several international artists. The themes for 2017 were time maps, memory, archives and the future. Her latest solo shows have been at the Photographic Centre Nykyaika in Tampere in 2017 and in Turku Art Museum in 2014 in Finland. Currently she is finishing her Master of Arts degree in the Aalto University in Helsinki.
