Photograper kyung kyoo choi
I am a Korean photographer working primarily in black and white. My work focuses on human movement and traces within urban spaces. I am particularly interested in architectural lines and structures, light and shadow, and anonymous figures passing through the city. Through these elements, I seek to express solitude, movement, and a sense of presence left by individuals within the modern urban environment.
Rather than seeing the city simply as a background, I view it as a stage where human emotion and time briefly pass through. Through strong contrast, restrained composition, silhouettes, and shadows, I explore the relationship between people and space, light and darkness, presence and disappearance.
I am actively involved in photographic work and exhibitions through a Korean black-and-white photography community, and I also present my work on international photography platforms such as 1x.com and Art Limited. My current project, Urban Traces, expands on my interest in the temporary presence of human beings and the traces they leave behind within urban spaces.
