A fine art and editorial photographer living north of Boston, Laurie’s work ranges from portrait, to documentary, to landscape and botanical. Her fine art series Before Self-Consciousness, a long-term photojournalistic study of her sons journey from uninhibited childhood to the beginnings of self-consciousness, was awarded an Honorable Mention in the international 2018 Monovisions photography competition.
In June 2019, Laurie participated in A. Smith Gallery’s Open-themed/Unconstrained juried show in Johnson City, Texas with her digital silver print “Lost” from her Before Self-Consciousness series.
In August 2018, Laurie’s black and white, limited edition silver print “Warren’s Barn” was chosen to be shown at the juried Chania International Photo Festival in Greece.
In April 2018, Laurie participated in A. Smith Gallery’s juried exhibition “portraits” in Johnson City, Texas with the limited edition digital silver print “The Gator”, part of her Before Self-Consciousness series.
