Lynné Bowman Cravens was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She attended St. Edward’s University, and received her BA in Photocommunications in 2009. Cravens later attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where she received her MFA in Photography in 2015.
Cravens currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, working as the Gallery Manager at The Art Galleries at TCU. Her work was featured in the June 2016 issue of the British Origami Society’s international publication. Her work was also recently featured in two publications; first in 6th Volume of the Friend of the Artist publication along with an artist interview, and secondly in an interview for the online publication Voyage Dallas Magazine. Cravens recently had solo exhibitions of her work in Fort Worth at the Moncrief Cancer Institute and in Dallas at 500X Gallery. Her work is currently featured at the Bradbury Art Museum in Arkansas and in the 2018 KAUNAS Photo Festival in Lithuania.
