Leandro Martins is a restless Brazilian photographer, born in 1980 in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. Influenced by advertising, he started to have contact with photography and with time started to photograph professionally. He started to build an intriguing collection of photography projects in 2010 and in 2013 had his work exhibited for the first time during the World Cup in Brazil, at Antonio Carlos Jobim airport, in Rio de Janeiro and important cultural centres in Brazil.
In 2013 he did a photographic expedition in the northeastern region of Brazil, in the backlands, to portray the drought. The contact with a serious social issue directed his work for causes that need to be exposed. The photographer defines his work as experimental documentary, always seeking for immersion and fusion with the photographed environment.
