I was born in Havana, Cuba, on the 12th of October 1973. I graduated from the “Instituto Superior de Artes de la Ciudad de La Habana” (Superior Institute of Art in Havana), in 1997, in the field of sculpting. In the year 2000 I decided to come to Europe and since then I have been living and working in Valencia. In 2015 I finished the Master of Photography, in the Polytechnic University of Valencia, to widen my knowledge in this field.
Since then my work pivots on photographic documentation, drawing and sculpture, dealing with subjects like memory, emigration and identity. Through my work I try to establish similarities between objects, situations and different cultural patterns, and it is precisely the construction of this connections that constitutes the central nucleus of my language.
