Born and raised in Delaware, Lexi graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2015. There, she competed for the UMBC Women's Swim and Dive team, earned a dual degree in Spanish and photography and minored in journalism and biology.
While in college, she worked for NPR Baltimore and the local Rehoboth Beach, Delaware newspaper, the Cape Gazette. She later moved on to freelance for the Delaware State News.
Lexi now lives in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, Jordan, and their dog and cat. She works full-time as a community reporter with Starnes Publishing, which creates seven monthly community newspapers in the Birmingham area, although she mainly covers the city of Mountain Brook.
During her free time, she can be found bouldering, spending time outdoors with her dog or working on a long-term documentary photography project with the USAWR wheelchair rugby team.
