About Kevin Lhacene

Born in 1992 in Grenoble, Kevin Lhacene grew up in the Rhône-Alpes region before leaving to study in Paris. Graduate of a master's degree in sociology of digital and media, he decided at the end of his university career to undertake an artistic career as a graphic designer, photographer and illustrator. In tribute to his Algerian roots, he decided to use as an artist name the original spelling of his family name, frenchified when his grandfather arrived in France in 1956

Young autodidact, it is through photography that he takes his first steps as an artist. Strongly inspired by the geometric shapes of the Bauhaus school but also by the abstract, surrealist and symbolist movements in painting, Lhacene seeks through his photographic work to push the limits of the imaginary by playing on the frontiers between the figurative and the abstract while adding a strong psychological and experimental dimension.
