Di Zinno has taught at his alma mater the Art Center College of Design since 2002. This led to a fateful meeting with the founding members of the VII agency when they visited the campus in 2005 for a workshop setting into motion his own body of work as a concerned photographer. Passion projects include working in Afghanistan since 2008 for a non-profit, Mountain to Mountain. Further, his work in Africa and Asia for the innovative designers at ideo.org and their client the Rockefeller foundation (2014) serve to underline the global nature of his passion for story telling and 'giving voice' projects to those who are underserved. Also, Di Zinno supervised a team of photographers to cover the Special Olympics World Games (2015). More recently he has tutored young image makers for the Center for Sacred Studies on behalf of the Great Sioux Nation and the Black Hills Initiative (2016). Looking ahead to endangered activism with a series of travel adventures on Big Cats (2017).
