Born and raised in the city of Istanbul, Turkey, a place where two continents meet – Asia and Europe, Linda grew up experiencing a rich mosaic of culture, history and religion. She studied Political Science and Philosophy at Concordia University, Montreal. She has worked in a number of organizations within the field of public advocacy, human rights, humanitarian aid, community capacity building and sustainable development. She also collaborated with local and international artists on various community art projects as a way to address different societal issues. As a photographer, she held various exhibitions in Montreal, Toronto and Edmonton. She considers photography as a fascinating and engaging way to describe heart and mind opening encounters in her life. She focuses on social documentary and travel photography with the aim of making a better impact in the world by exposing the unknown, unfamiliar and beautiful acts of creative collaboration.
