Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Lisa Erdberg graduated from Radcliffe College and has lived in San Francisco for over thirty-five years. Inspired by the history and geography of the West, she follows in the footsteps of those who found unlimited opportunities here to reinvent themselves. After careers as a legal aid attorney, tax attorney, translator and teacher of Italian literature, and community volunteer, her longstanding interest in languages led her to explore photography as a language for describing her surroundings. She takes particular delight in pursuing this new and very different mode of communication to convey her connection to the world around her.
Her work has appeared in juried exhibitions in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area and has also been selected for several juried exhibitions at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT.
