I grew up and am at the moment living in Florence, where I work as a freelance photographer.
My very first contact with photography was when I was 16 years old, during that time I started taking pictures with an old Pentax film camera and, eventually, rudimentally developing my own works.
I attended photography classes at the Photo Club in Florence when I was 21 years old and then several workshops mainly in Boston at the NESOP (New England School Of Photography) when I was living there on account of my studies in Biology. During that period I became more confident with digital and post-production photography.
When I was 23 years old I started working as an intern with Alessandro Bencini in Florence, a fashion photographer. I did several jobs with him, travelling around Italy. I started covering events such as parties, weddings, concerts where I built up my work experience in the field.
My own type of photography is categorised as Street Photography and Reportage. I am currently pursuing this path in order to work as a photojournalist and have some of my works be published in the near future.
I am an explorer and an observer at the same time and one of the most gratifying things for me is to walk for hours with no destination with the aim of discovering new places, people, smells, tastes, lights etc... Just about anything might catch my attention.
Everything can be interpreted with a particular and different prospective through the lens of a camera, which reflects my own type of eye and how I see things around me, which makes everything different looking at the world from different prospectives and angles.
