Born and raised in Livorno, Italy, Lucrezia Fantoni started taking pictures during her teenage years.
Later, during her studies in drama, art and music in Bologna, she started to discover new worlds- communal living and subcultures around music, travel and activism.
Once graduated, inspired by this sense of freedom, she began travelling and working in creative fields, before eventually focusing on video.
After working in directing, editing and documentary and film production for a while, she found herself living a nomadic lifestyle, travelling extensively in Europe,North America and Asia- usually by land.
It was during this period of continuous change, where she returned to her roots as a photographer.
