Lucy Barnett is a fine art photographer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. With a BA and MA in writing, rhetoric, criticism, literary theory, and digital media, Lucy uses her photographic practice as a hands-on chance to experiment and continue to explore theory. Her main areas of interest currently include construction of identity, placemaking, and hyper-local documentation, which is seen in her portraits where the subject and environment are equally important.
Beyond this practice, Lucy loves street, travel, portrait, documentary and nature photography, and enjoys experimenting with lighting, media, and process.
