I worked with language, seeking sense in and through words. I picked up a camera and started to take walks, setting aside words and becoming re-acquainted with visual language.
Perhaps it was this desire to expand through observation that led me to streets, cityscapes or simple objects that project an eloquent silence in the moment. But such quietude is never one-dimensional. It may alternately be amusing, sad, uncanny, joyous, perplexing, ineffable, and sometimes even loud.
