M arts background includes advanced degrees in art history and creative writing and I have curated art shows and edited a literary journal. When photographing I use my understanding of composition, perspective, light, and reflection to capture the natural world, especially waterways, healthy and toxic, and the effects of these waters on their surrounding habitats. For six years, I worked on a project documenting the changing waters of Florida, which will culminate in a book to be published by George Thompson next fall. My work has been exhibited around the country and is included in Biolink, a University of Florida sponsored creative interdisciplinary project on biodiversity. I recently relocated to Asheville NC, where I am continuing my work on waterways and biodiveristy.
