My arts background includes advanced degrees in art history and creative writing and I have curated art shows and edited a literary journal. When photographing I use my understanding of composition, perspective, light, and reflection to capture the natural world, especially waterways. For six years, I worked on a project documenting the changing waters of Florida, which will culminate in a book to be published by George Thompson next fall. My work has been exhibited around the country and is included in Biolink, a University of Florida sponsored creative interdisciplinary project on biodiversity. I recently relocated to Asheville NC, where I am continuing my work on waterways and biodiversity.
