Davood Madadpoor’s passion for photography began in 2002, the moment he saw a collection of war photographs as he worked as a research librarian on methods of archiving. Since then, photography and the power of images as a form of artistic expression have been his calling.
His professional journey began in 2012 when he studied for one year at the Iranian Photographers’ House, a non-profit photography school. After that, he put into practice his photographic knowledge while working at the Tehran Art Center. During this same period, he also studied photography at the Tehran University of Applied Sciences and Technology.
Davood chose to move to Florence, Italy, in 2013. His aim was and remains the expansion of his cultural horizons and academic studies. In 2017, he graduated with a B.A. from Florence Fine Arts Academy. He is currently completing his Master‘s degree in Curatorial Studies.
