I could argue creativity is in my blood, with a mother and grandmother who have basically tried (and mastered) everything from oil painting… to mosaic-ing… to sewing their own clothes. As a child, I spent many summer days painting at my grandmother’s knee or helping my mother out with her latest DIY project.
So at the age of 17, when my family moved to New Delhi, India and my mother gave me her old Kodak point and shoot, it wasn’t all that surprising that I developed a passion for photography. While my style has changed since my hand-me down Kodak days, one thing has remained the same: I still can be found most days with a camera in hand and a desire to tell a story.
Inspired by my love for fantasy novels, the natural world, and couture fashion, it is my hope that the images I create will always belong more in a child’s storybook and less in the leaves of a newspaper. By creating such fantastical imagery, my work will serve as a reminder to look at where we once were, see how far we’
