From the time I was 6, I wanted to be an artist, and as a child, I was very aware of the quality of light. Now, as an adult, I appreciate that photography freezes a moment in time and preserves it for us forever, a touchstone in a world of uncertainty. A lifelong Brooklyn resident, leather sculptor and avid photographer, I have studied at Toscana Photographic Workshops in Italy and at the International Center of Photography in New York City, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and Maine Media Workshops. My photos are included in Best of Photography 2013 and were published in Photo District News as first-place winner in the “People” category. In 2017, I was proud to be accepted as an artist-member of the Salmagundi Club, one of the oldest artists’ clubs in the United States, which has included illustrious artists such as Louis Comfort Tiffany and Paul Cadmus,. I received its Philip Isenberg Memorial Awards in 2017 and 2021, and William T. Zahn Memorial Award in 2024. From 2020 to 2023, I have been a member of the Griffin Museum of Photography.
