Marcus Buck, born in 1970 in Waiblingen, Germany, has been dedicated to architectural photography ever since his professional training. He’s captured J. Mayer H.’s buildings in Georgia for a cover story of architect magazine, photographed Germany’s largest storage rack and is currently responsible for BMW’s website corporate relaunch.
Having been trained in advertisement and portrait photography in Freiburg, Marcus Buck studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich where he also began to work as a freelance photographer with an emphasis on architecture, interior design, corporate design and independent projects. During his studies, he won numerous awards, including the Kodak Young Professionals Award and 3rd place in the International Photography Awards (IPA) with a series of underwater photos of athletes.
In 2010 Buck received the IPA award for his series "Architecture of Remnants", and he was nominated for Photographer of the Year. Among his long term clients are BMW and Siemens as well as architects, magazines, and advertisement agencies.
