I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I began photography in high school after being inspired by family photos. I am beginning the junior year of my bachelors degrees in photography at the Herberger Institute of Arts and Design and Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. I have studied under Elizabeth Cohen and Stephan Marc. In March I was accepted to and attended the Collective Quarterly Portfolio Work Shop in Pray, Montana. This was an important moment for me as it validated the work I had done as way as helped me find direction for the next steps in my work. I aspire to become a photojournalist and eventually earn an M.F.A. to teach photography, as I consider education to be the cornerstone to my success in both my career as well as in my life as a whole.
