About Margrit Olsen

I studied photography at SUNY Purchase with Jan Groover, Jed Devine and Gregory Crewdson. After graduating I worked in NYC photolabs and showed at small East Village galleries. I went on to work for the artist Anselm Kiefer as his photographer and printer in his studio in Barjac, France. I worked for Kiefer for 9 years and settled into life in France.
My other photography work consists of large format Industrial and Americana, and Rural Landscapes in France. I am currently working on a project to present to ENSP Arles for a VAE Masters in Photography.
Recent work is a progression into digital files, reflecting on memory and the storage of information, titled Data Petals.
