Born in São Paulo, Mari Queiroz majored in Fine Arts at the University of São Paulo, complementing her studies at the School of Visual Arts and International Center of Photography in New York. She began her career as a photojournalist, photographing as a freelancer for major Brazilian publications.
Pursuing apprenticeship, she worked during six years as a studio assistant, improving her technical knowledge and lighting skills. Seeking room to cultivate her personal projects, she moved on again, now to her own studio. Her images have been published on major Brazilian magazines. She is currently based in São Paulo, in demand for editorial and commercial work, as well as for fine art prints.
