Maria Portaluppi’s career began when she decided to study cinematography, in 2004, this is how it became her tool of work as a Director of Photography.
Her initial participation was in three exhibitions of "La Colectiva" in Rosario, when she began to make her firsts essays.
In Guayaquil she was chosen for two editions of "Como Miran Ellas" Photographic Exhibition of Casa de la Cultura and in 2015 she made her first own exhibition with her work "Es Ficción pero aun así duele".
Once she decided to leave the audiovisual area, she focused on photography doing a Postgraduate in São Paulo in 2013, where she began to develop more the conceptual side, which helped her to be chosen to the Seminar of Contemporary Photography in El Centro de la Imagen and the portfolio review of PhotoEspaña in Mexico in 2015.
She currently lives in Madrid, where she studies EFTI for being one of the winners of the Roberto Villagraz 2017 Fellowship.
